Cosmetic acupuncture in Leeds
Cosmetic acupuncture, combined with body acupuncture and facial acupressure is an effective non-surgical anti-aging treatment, that works on the whole person combining Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with an intensive facial acupuncture and acupressure treatment. My patients usually notice benefits beyond, and in addition to improved facial appearance and tone. Additional benefits may include an improved sense of well-being, improved energy levels and concentration, better quality sleep. An initial course of treatment usually comprises 6 sessions at weekly intervals.
Acupuncture for chronic low back pain
Acupuncture is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) as an effective treatment for chronic low back pain, and if your GP considers it appropriate, they can refer you for a course of acupuncture treatment. When treating musculoskeletal pain, I use a mixture of traditional acupuncture points, trigger points and motor points along with massage, manipulation and stretching methods acquired in my shiatsu and massage training. I may also make use of electro-acupuncture and cupping techniques to release muscle tension and relieve pain.

Acupuncture and Shiatsu as natural healing therapies
Acupuncture, Shiatsu and Acupressure therapies have a common history: they are based on Chinese Medicine principles and make use of channels and points on the body. Qi or Ki regulate all functions within the body-mind and blockages and imbalances produce pain and other symptoms associated with ill health. These oriental therapies aim to alleviate symptoms and enhance well-being by restoring balance.
These natural therapies can address a wide range of symptoms and conditions including, but not limited to:
- Migraine and headaches,
- Dental pain,
- Neck and back pain,
- Post-operative pain, and nausea,
- Fatigue and tiredness,
- Digestive disorders,
- Anxiety,
- Depression,
- Insomnia,
- Asthma and hayfever.
