Cosmetic Acupuncture
Cosmetic Acupuncture (Facial Regeneration, Facial Acupuncture, Facial Rejuvenation) is a virtually painless, non-surgical method of reducing signs of ageing, especially on the face.
In my treatments, I combine body and facial acupuncture with a facial acupressure massage using quality natural products from Neal's Yard Remedies.
Cosmetic acupuncture is based on the same principles of oriental medicine as traditional acupuncture, and involves the insertion of very fine needles (typically 0.16 - 0.20 mm in diameter), into areas of the face, ears, neck, hands, trunk, and legs. I use a combination of traditional acupuncture points and local needling around eg 'frown' lines or the cheeks. Many acupuncture channels begin or end on the face while others have internal branches that link to the face. Cosmetic acupuncture utilises points on these channels, both on the face, and elsewhere on the body.
